About me
« Unseen footage, authentic stories »
Aurélie Macedo - Documentary director
I love pushing my limits to capture unique images and compelling stories !
I have been a director, cameraperson, and journalist since 2011. Specialized in documentary and TV magazine production, I intentionally maintain a versatile profile that takes me to various fields.
Equally comfortable trekking in the mountains as conducting an interview in a well-lit studio.
"Born in Les Sables d'Olonne, nurtured on sailing and the Vendée Globe, with Azorean heritage from my father, I have always had a spirit of adventure and a desire to tell these stories.
First about sailors in Vendée, then about politicians in Paris, Saudi princes or 4Ls in Morocco, and more recently about kiwi producers in New Zealand or even kings in Wallis and Futuna.
There are no small stories! I dream of filming Mont Blanc, the 2024 and 2030 Olympics, but also of making investigative documentaries.
One day with a camera in hand, chasing ultra-trail runners; the next, seeking emotion during an interview; and the day after, covering a political sequence with a handheld microphone, I love the surprise, the challenge, and breaking away from the beaten path !
Moreover, I am passionate about outdoor sports and long 'OFF' adventures, whether in competition with mountain biking or running."
